Shown is an 1778MoFF four reales, one of a type struck in Mexico 1774-84. Assayer FF is recorded for the years 1778-84. The four reales is the scarcest of the colonial denominations and when found, is usually in low grade. The specimen shown is better than average.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, .393 troy oz ASW.
