Sincona sale 26, lot 3581

This specimen was lot 3581 in Sincona sale 26 (Zurich, October 2015), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$148 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Haakon VII. 1905-1957 2 Kroner 1913. Vorzüglich-gutes vorzüglich (kingdom of Norway, Haakon VII, 1905-57, two kroner of 1913, extremely fine or better.)"

This type is noted for 1908-17 but, despite the steady production, it is rather scarce. It is the last of the denomination.

Recorded mintage: 270,000.

Specification: 15 g, .800 fine silver, .383 troy oz ASW, 31 mm diameter, this specimen 15.00 g.
