This specimen was lot 508 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, October 2010), where it sold for $546.25. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"GERMAN STATES. SCHWABISH HALL. Freie Reichsstadt. 1/2 Taler, 1777 OE-K-R. Cuirassed bust r. Rv. Three ornate shields make up Arms. A very low mintage Convention Taler, one of only 437 minted. Areas of deep charcoal toning, light hairlines from old cleaning. A rare and important type. Choice Very Fine." </blockquote> All the issues of the free city of [[German States, Hall|Hall]] (also called Schwabisch Hall to distinguish it from other towns of the same name) are scarce.
