This specimen was lot 3763 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,100 (about US$2,838 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWÄBISCH HALL, STADT, Dukat 1777, Nürnberg, mit Titel Josefs II. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Hall in Swabia, ducat of 1777, Nuremberg mint, struck in the name of Joseph II. Prooflike extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This rare type is accompanied by a half thaler (KM 45.2) and thaler (Dav-2280).
