This specimen was lot 3532 in Sincona sale 39 (Zurich, May 2017), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$240 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach. Grossherzogtum, Carl Alexander, 1853-1901 2 Mark 1892 A. Berlin. Sehr schön. (grand duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Charles Alexander, 1853-1901, two mark of 1892, Berlin mint. Very fine.)"
This is one of the few issues of this tiny state during the Wilhelmine empire. It is scarce but enough were saved that it is not rare.
Recorded mintage: 50,000.
Specification: 11.11 g, .900 fine silver, .321 troy oz ASW, this specimen 11.02 g.
