Sincona sale 33, lot 3085

This specimen was lot 3085 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$831 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Erzherzog Karl, 1564-1590 Dukat 1569. Klagenfurt. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Charles, 1564-90, ducat of 1569, Klagenfurt mint. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

Friedberg notes this type for 1565-70 and 1572-90. It is common for a ducat. This is the only issue we know of with a four digit date.
