This specimen was lot 7309 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 8 Ore Klippe, (15)91. Johan III (1568-92). NGC AU-55. A nice example on a flan free of rough surfaces with much detail impressed. The '9' of date shows re-engraving and dies are a bit worn. Pleasing dark brown patina. Provenance: Ex: Stack's Bowers & Ponterio Sale #163 November 16, 2011, Lot #23799."
