This specimen was lot 2100 in Sincona sale 13 (Zurich, October 2013), where it sold for 10,000 CHF (about US$12,934 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "DEUTSCHLAND, Kempten, Stadt, Taler 1537. Äusserst selten. Sehr schön. Ex. Coll. Huntington, Nr. 18436." This one year type is rare and expensive. The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
