This specimen was lot 4852 in Sincona sale 4 (Zurich, October 2011), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$865 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GROSSBRITANNIEN George I. 1714-1727 ¼ Guinea 1718. Belorbeertes Brustbild nach rechts. Rv. Vier gekrönte Wappen ins Kreuz gestellt, in den Winkeln Zepter. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Great Britain, George I, 1714-27, quarter guinea of 1718. Obverse: laureate bust to right; reverse: four shields in the form of a cross, scepters in the corners. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
The only other quarter guinea of the eighteenth century is an issue of George III in 1762; both are scarce.
