This specimen was lot 200 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 575 (about US$721 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Rouble 1752, St. Petersburg Mint, IM. 3 roubles acc. to Petrov. 2,5 roubles according to Trapeznikov. Scratches. Extremely fine. Collector’s note: 'Obv. Much smaller head'." This type was struck 1751-54 at St. Petersburg and Moscow and is not expensive in low grade.
Recorded mintage: 968,000 (including assayer ЯI).
Specification: 25.85 g, .802 fine silver, this specimen 26.07 g.
