This coin, issued 1989-2001 during the reign of Juan Carlos of Spain, was the last peseta issued prior to the introduction of the euro. Several billion were issued and it is common in all grades. Even at 0.55 g each, over 1300 tons of aluminum were consumed minting this coin.
