This copper type was struck in 1771, 1773 and 1784, all dated 1771. The SCWC distinguishes the three issues by the size of the king's monogram. No more were issued during the eighteenth century. It was accompanied by 54 million one skilling pieces struck during the same period in many varieties. At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skillings = 1 mark, 4 mark = 1 krone, 6 mark = 1 daler specie, 2 daler specie = 1 ducat.
