This specimen was lot 243 in Sincona sale 84 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,501 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 20 Kopecks 1816, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB PS. Rare, especially in this condition. 0.5 rouble according to Petrov. NGC MS63. Most attractively toned."
This type was struck 1810-26 and is fairly common. The SCWC states that assayer ПС is substantially more available than assayer МФ for this year.
Recorded mintage: 115,000, including assayer МФ and an 1816/5 overdate.
Specification: 4.14 g, 0.868 fine silver.
