This specimen was lot 31777 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XII Ore 1717-LC, MS62 NGC. Nicely struck with colorful gray and light blue toning, very scarce early type in mint state. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." Billon one öre pieces were struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1761. This type of 1715-17 is common.

Recorded mintage: 1,181,000.

Specification: 1.19 g, .194 fine silver.
