This specimen was lot 74172 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 25 Schilling, 1955. Vienna Mint. PCGS PROOF-65 Cameo. Commemorating the reopening of the National Theater in Vienna, this proof issue offers highly mirrored fields and subtly frosted devices." This denomination was used for NCLT's only 1955-73. This example realized a little over one quarter of its catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 1,499,000 plus 1,000 proofs.
Specification: 13 g, 0.800 fine silver, 30 mm diameter, lettered edge.
Catalog reference: KM-2880.
