This specimen was lot 1839 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,238 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIEN Neapel - Sizilien Ferdinando II. 1830-1859. Piastra zu 120 Grani 1838. FDC. (kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Ferdinand II, 1830-59, piastra of 120 grani of 1838. Uncirculated.)"
The Bourbons of Naples were generally despised and ridiculed as incompetent.
