This specimen was lot 33400 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "South Korea. Republic gold Proof "Queen Sunduk" 2500 Won 1970 PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC, Valcambi mint. Flawless mirror-like fields captivate the observer of this stunning proof, with a small mintage of just 1,750 pieces." This commemorative was part of a set which included KM 7 (50 won), KM 8 (silver 100 won), KM 10 (silver 200 won), KM 11 (silver 250 won), KM 13 (silver 1000 won) and KM 14 (gold 1000 won).

Recorded mintage: 1,750 proofs (KM 15.1) + 100 proofs (KM 15.2).

Specification: 8.68 g, 0.900 fine gold, 26 mm diameter, AGW 0.2801 oz.
