Sincona sale 67, lot 4270

This specimen was lot 4270 in Sincona sale 67 (Zurich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Ahmad Shâh, 1327-1344 H./1909-1925 AD, Silver coinage. 2 Qiran 1341 H. Bust half left on branches, name and title above, the date below, rev. lion and sun above value in wreath. KM 1040. Very fine."

Altho attribued by the auctioneers as KM 1040, this specimen is actually KM 1057, struck AH 1331-1344. It is common.

Recorded mintage: 4,460,000.

Specification: 9.21 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 9.26 g.
