This specimen was lot 71327 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA. 2 Centavos, 1882. Buenos Aires Mint. PCGS EF-45. From a scarce KEY DATE and first year of issue, this moderately circulated 2 Centavos displays deep mahogany brown patina streaked with intermittent brighter shades. Series specialists will have a difficult time locating another, so this opportunity warrants careful consideration." This is a scarce date of a type struck 1882-96.

Recorded mintage: 88,000.

Specification: 9.91 g, bronze, 30 mm diameter.
