The first specimen was lot 24608 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 4 Reales, 1810-JP. Lima Mint. PCGS Genuine--Plugged, VG Details Secure Holder. VERY SCARCE type. Local 'Imaginary' portrait of Ferdinand VII. Pierced and repaired at twelve o'clock, surfaces show evidence of extended use in suspension. Toned. Ex: Stack's Bowers & Ponterio 6/2011 sale, lot # 8445." This type of 1810-11 is rare compared to the prior type of Charles IV, struck 1791-1808. It replaced KM 105.1, with a larger imaginary bust of Ferdinand.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 13.54 g, 0.896 fine silver, .390 troy oz ASW.
