This specimen was lot 24950 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. 20 Cents, 1877. PCGS EF-40 Secure Holder. Good strike, toned." The type was struck in 1871-1901 and many dates are common but this one is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 55,000, a scarce date.
Specification: 5.43 g, 0.800 fine silver, .139 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
