This specimen was lot 1517 in Jean Elsen sale 146 (Brussels, November 2020), where it sold for €260 (about US$379 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, Koninkrijk, Beatrix (1980-2014), AV 10 euro, 2003. Vincent Van Gogh. In doosje. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of the Netherlands, Beatrix, 1980-2014, gold ten euro of 2003, for Vincent van Gogh. In capsule, Uncirculated.)"

This denomination is used exclusively for commemoratives.

Recorded mintage: 20,000.

Specification: 6.72 g, .900 fine gold, 22.5 mm diameter, reeded edge, 0.1944 ounce AGW.
