Christof Bernhard von Galen Taler 1652 AU58 NGC. Nearly mint-state and attractive as such, this broad specimen features uniformly-toned steel gray patination with wear constrained to the highpoints. A scarcely encountered type in the marketplace, let alone in this state of preservation." All the thalers of Munster are scarce.

This specimen was lot 29521 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Munster. Christof Bernhard von Galen Taler 1652 AU58 NGC. Nearly mint-state and attractive as such, this broad specimen features uniformly-toned steel gray patination with wear constrained to the highpoints. A scarcely encountered type in the marketplace, let alone in this state of preservation." All the thalers of Münster are scarce.
