Sincona sale 38, lot 1797

This specimen was lot 1797 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 3,400 CHF (about US$4,078 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Ferdinand III. 1637-1657 Dukat 1650. Breslau Münzwardein G. Hübner. Selten. Gutes vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand III, 1637-57, ducat of 1650, Breslau mint. Rare. Good extremely fine.)"

This scarce type was struck for Silesia 1637-57.

Specification: 35 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 3.46 g.
