This specimen was lot 519 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €800 (about US$998 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Philippe II (1555-1598), AR demi-écu Philippe, 1589, Anvers. Droit: B. cuirassé à gauche. Revers: Ecu couronné avec écusson de Portugal en surtout, sur une croix de Bourgogne, entre deux briquets, portant le bijou de la Toison d'or. Frappe vigoureuse et beau portrait. Rare dans cette qualité. presque Superbe. (duchy of Brabant, Philip II (1555-98), silver half écu Philippe of 1589, Antwerp mint. Obverse: armored bust to left; reverse: crowned arms with the shield of Portugal, over a Burgundian cross, between two briquets, collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece around. Bold strike with nice portrait, rare in this quality, about extremely fine.)"
