This specimen was lot 31776 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Carl XII Ore 1715-LC, MS63 NGC. This coin has gray toning with some hints of light sea-green color. Attractive for the type. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." Billon one öre pieces were struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1761. This type of 1715-17 is common. Copper one öre (KM 356) were also struck in 1715 but are rare; large scale production would not commence until 1730 (KM 416.1).

Recorded mintage: 404,000.

Specification: 1.19 g, .194 fine silver.
