This specimen was lot 2015 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$480 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA | Republik | misc, 5 Pesos (1 Argentino) 1882. About extremely fine." This is an example of a type struck 1881-96 from a design by Oudiné, most likely at the Paris mint. Its face value was five pesos and its weight exactly equal to 25 French francs in gold.
