Jean Elsen sale 158, lot 595

This specimen was lot 595 in Jean Elsen sale 158 (Brussels, March 2024), where it sold for €400 (about US$520 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Albert et Isabelle (1598-1621), AR triple réal, 1610, Anvers. D/ B. accolés des archiducs à g. R/ Ecu parti d'Autriche-Bourgogne, couronné, sur une croix de Bourgogne, orné du bijou de la Toison d'or. Très rare. presque Très Beau. (duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabella, 1598-1621, silver triple real of 1610, Antwerp mint. Obverse: accolated busts of the archdukes left; reverse: crowned impaled arms of Austria and Burgundy over a Burgundian cross, adorned with the jewel of the Golden Fleece. Very rare, about Very Fine.)"

This rare type is listed for Antwerp for 1605-10. The denomination was also struck in Flanders 1607-08 (KM 8) and Tournai 1605-10 (KM 10).
