Peru 1827 8 reales rev Stacks CG12050742a2.jpg

This type was struck at Lima 1825-28 and at Cuzco 1826-29 and is rather common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. High grade ezamples like the one shown always bring a premium. Assayer GM is recorded for the Cuzco mint 1826-27 as well as assayer G, who may be the same person.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 142.2.
