This specimen was lot 1246 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $285.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "RADHANPUR: Zorawar Khan, 1825-1874, AR 8 annas, Radhanpur, 1871/AH1286, unpublished date combination, much weakness, VF to EF, RR. Probably struck with old dies, hence the date mismatch, at some point between 1872 and the first issues of Bismillah Khan dated 1880." Radhanpur was a princely state in the west of India near Baroda and Jhalawar. It is now part of Gujarat state. Its rulers were Muslims, hence the AH dating on the coins. Eight annas was half a rupee. This type was struck AH 1284-1289.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 5.35-5.8 g, silver, this specimen 5.89 g.
Catalog reference: KM-10.
