This specimen was lot 3859 in Goldberg sale 70 (Los Angeles, September 2012), where it sold for $264.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria. Taler, 1700 (Hall). Leopold I. Obverse fields have been tooled. Extremely Fine." This type was struck at the Hall mint 1694-1704 and at Graz in 1698 in numerous varieties (Dav-3241, -3243, -3244, -3245A). It is fairly common. It seems unlikely that the emperor was ever called "the Hogmouth" to his face.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver.
Catalog reference: Dav-3245 = Dav-1003; KM-1303.4.
