This specimen was lot 418 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAHRI MAMLUK: Muhammad I, 3rd reign, 1310-1341, AV dinar, Dimashq, AH710, bold strike with full mint & date in the reverse field, XF, R." The Mamluks held Damascus 1260-1516 despite invasions by the Mongols (1299-1300) and Timur (1400-01). An-Nasir Muhammad was sultan of Egypt three times, 1293-1294, 1299-1309 and 1310-41.
