Stephen Album sale 50, lot 1155

This specimen was lot 1155 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND: DANZIG: Stefan Batory, 1576–1586, AR groschen, 1579, the second and last vintage of Stefan Batory's Gdansk groschen, a lovely coin with original toning, XF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." Thirty groschen or groszy made a thaler.
