Ducat, 1648-GR. Danzig Mint. Vladislaus IV. PCGS Genuine--Repaired, AU Details. Elusive and desirable in any condition, this Ducat presents nice details, despite a repaired designation, likely arising from flattening a bend. A SCARCE example that will still capture much attention. From the Collection of Kazmier Wysocki, former mayor of Hackensack, New Jersey." This type is listed in the SCWC for 1639-47 and is rare. Ducats with Wladyslaw's portrait were also struck in Thorn (KM 22.3). On Wladyslaw's death in 1648, aged 52 years, he was succeeded by his half brother [[Danzig 1649-GR ducat Fr-24|Jan Casimir]].
