Sincona sale 95, lot 4214

This specimen was lot 4214 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Sols 1563, Genf. Mzz. P. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, three sols of 1563, Geneva mint, mintmark P. Good Very Fine.)"

This type was struck nearly continuously 1554-94. Numista does not mention the mintmark clearly visible here. One thaler was 96 sols.

Record mintage: unknown.

Specification: 4.0 g, billon, 26 mm diameter, this specimen 3.62 g.

Catalog reference: Demole 282, HMZ 2-301i.
