This specimen was lot 21915 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,495. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bern. Gold Ducat 1794, MS62 PL NGC, a choice example with prooflike surfaces and excellent eye appeal." This one-year type has an unknown mintage but enough were saved that it is listed in the SCWC as the most affordable Bernese ducat of the eighteenth century. It is also the last of its denomination.
