This specimen was lot 1130 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAMBERG: Lothar Franz von Schönborn, 1693-1729, AR 4 kreuzer, 1696, GFN mintmaster, PCGS graded MS64." Two other bishops of Bamberg were also bishops of Würzburg, examples of the problem of plurality of benefices which beset the German Church at the time. This type was also struck 1698 and 1700 and is common.
