This specimen was lot 72451 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $144. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Netherlands East Indies|NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES]]. United East India Company. Duit, 1753. Zeeland Mint. PCGS AU-50 Gold Shield. A decently struck, wholesome, and well centered Duit with a very dark, almost charcoal patina." This duit, struck with the arms of Zeeland, was issued 1753-92. It varied from the prior [[Netherlands East Indies 1745 duit KM-152.2|KM 152.2]] by deleting the dots bracketing the date. [[Netherlands East Indies 1755 duit KM-70|Holland]], [[Netherlands East Indies 1736 duit KM-134|Westfriesland]], Gelderland and [[Netherlands East Indies 1764 duit KM-111.1|Utrecht]] also struck duits for the East Indies. Presentation strikes exist in silver and gold but not for this type. The collapse of the United Provinces during the French Revolution ended the issue.

This specimen was lot 72451 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES. United East India Company. Duit, 1753. Zeeland Mint. PCGS AU-50 Gold Shield. A decently struck, wholesome, and well centered Duit with a very dark, almost charcoal patina." This duit, struck with the arms of Zeeland, was issued 1753-92. It varied from the prior KM 152.2 by deleting the dots bracketing the date. Holland, Westfriesland, Gelderland and Utrecht also struck duits for the East Indies. Presentation strikes exist in silver and gold but not for this type. The collapse of the United Provinces during the French Revolution ended the issue.
