This specimen was lot 74530 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $45. The catalog description[1] noted, "CYPRUS. 1/2 Piastre, 1945. London Mint. George VI. PCGS MS-63 Brown." This type was struck at the London mint for the island of Cyprus 1942-45. One pound was 180 piastres.

Recorded mintage: 1,080,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 2.59 g, bronze, 19 mm diameter, plain edge, engraved by Percy Metcalfe.
