This specimen was lot 12011 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 200 Dollars, 2004. Lunar Series, Year of the Monkey. PCGS MS-70. The only example of this type with a perfect 70 grade from either PCGS or NGC." Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types.

Specification: 62.21 g, 0.999 gold, 2 oz AGW, 41.1 mm diameter.
