This specimen was lot 44034 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. 30 Dollars (Kilo), 2000. Perth Mint. GEM BRILLIANT PROOF. Struck to commemorate the Sydney 2000 Olympics. This near pristine large format silver coin is sold inside its original presentation box with serial number 8738. Free of tone, haze or fog." This enormous module was originated for the one kilo silver kookaburra (KM 447). The large format allows for an awesomely cluttered design.

Recorded mintage: 20,000 proofs.

Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver, 100 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-520.
