The first specimen was lot 33388 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Penny 1919 Dot Below Bottom Scroll MS64 Red PCGS, Well struck with bright mint-red color and only minor imperfections. From The Prager Collection Of Australian Coins." The type was struck 1911-36 at London, Calcutta, Melbourne (this specimen), Sydney and Heaton. Several varieties exist, varying in the placement (or absence) of dots on the reverse. This variety is fairly common.
Recorded mintage: 5,810,000 plus a few proofs.
Specification: 9.40 g, bronze, 30.8 mm diameter.
