This specimen was lot 74304 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $432. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Australia|AUSTRALIA]]. Sovereign, 1912-M. Melbourne Mint. George V. PCGS MS-62. A prime quality example with striking underlying golden luster." This type, struck 1911-31 at Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, is identical to the ordinary British sovereign in every respect except for the mintmark.
