Steve Album sale 38, lot 1576
Bulgaria SA38-1576r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1576 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $535.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA: People's Republic, 10 leva, 1984, KM-Pn28, Proba I (pattern) in copper-nickel, XXIII Summer Olympic Games, female gymnast performing with ribbon, only two PCGS examples with a higher grade, PCGS graded Specimen 68." The SCWC records the same mintage for the pattern shown here, KM Pn28, and the so-called regular issue, KM 147. We will let the reader decide what the regime really intended.

Recorded mintage: 2,000 of KM 147 and 2,000 of KM Pn28.

Specification: copper-nickel, reeded edge.

Catalog reference: KM 147 (official issue), KM Pn28 (pattern).
