This specimen was lot 1398 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 3100 CHF (about US$3,815 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Königreich Vittorio Emanuele III. 1900-1944. 5 Lire 1914, Roma. Hksp., Kr. und lt. pol. Sehr schön. (Italy, Victor Emanuel III, 1900-44, five lire of 1914, hairlined, lightly polished, very fine.)"

Most must have been melted as the type is rare today. This is the last full size five lire.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, designed by Davide Cassandra, this specimen 24,99 g.
