This specimen was lot 63 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 70 CHF (about US$93 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAZIL, Republik, seit 1889. 2000 Reis 1906. 19.93 g. KM 508. FDC. (republic of Brazil, since 1889, 2000 réis of 1906, Uncirculated.)"
Shown is a 2000 réis of the United States of Brazil, of a type struck 1906-12. The head of Liberty on this coin also appeared on silver 500 and 1000 réis of the same period. The denomination was abolished in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
Recorded mintage: 256,000, a better date.
Specification: 20 g, 0.900 fine silver.
