This specimen was lot 40491 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $11,500. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "EGYPT. 20 Qirsh, AH 1293 Year 1 (1876). NGC MS-63. Sharply struck and lightly toned, very attractive and one of the finest known of this type. From the Demarete Collection." This type was struck 1876, 1879 and 1880 and is very rare. The later type of 1884-98 ([[Egypt AH 1293(10-W) 20 qirsh|KM 296]]) is much more available.

This specimen was lot 40491 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $11,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 20 Qirsh, AH 1293 Year 1 (1876). NGC MS-63. Sharply struck and lightly toned, very attractive and one of the finest known of this type. From the Demarete Collection." This type was struck 1876, 1879 and 1880 and is very rare. The later type of 1884-98 (KM 296) is much more available.
