This specimen was lot 2393 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOMBAY PRESIDENCY: AE ½ pice, [Soho mint], 1794. short delicate pivot (reverse I), NGC graded PF64 BR." This type was manufactured for the British East India Company by the Soho mint of Birmingham in 1791 and 1794. It was accompanied by copper one, and two pice, all fairly common. This specimen realized over three times the catalog value.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.75 g, copper, 20 mm diameter.
