This specimen was lot 122 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €400 (about US$539 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BADEN, BADEN-DURLACH, MARKGRAFSCHAFT, Karl Friedrich, 1746-1811. 1/2 Konv.-Taler 1778, Durlach. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (margraviate of Baden-Durlach, Charles Frederick, 1746-1811, half thaler of 1778, Durlach mint. Handsome patina, extremely fine.)"
This type was also minted in 1774 and 1779. It is the last half thaler of the 18th century from this state.
