This copper daler was struck in Sweden in the closing stages of the Great Northern War when Sweden was losing and the government bankrupt. This series (the SCWC lists ten types issued 1715-19) was supposed to be redeemed in silver after the peace. When this didn't happen, the government official responsible for their issue was executed. "WETT OCH WAPEN" means "reason and arms."
Recorded mintage: 905,600.
Specification: 4.5 g, copper.
